Tell us about your courtship that led to your proposal:

We talked on the phone and decided to meet for a bite to eat at a restaurant nearby. We ended up talking until the restaurant closed, and Mike invited me to go to some wineries in Geneva with him that Sunday. We clicked from the start. After just a few weeks, we mutually decided to put our memberships in GE on hold. We found we had much more in common than just the town we live in. By the end of the summer we were seeing each other several times a week and by Christmas we started talking about a long-term relationship.

Mike proposed after dinner on Valentine’s Day. He was very romantic (red roses and a diamond ring) and I accepted immediately. We’ll be married in the backyard of our new home with just family and a few friends present.

Tell us about your lives together now:

Neither of us can believe how dramatically our lives have changed since last July. We believe that we have truly found the special person we were meant to be with.

What would you say to someone who was considering joining Great Expectations? 

We would recommend GE to others; no matter how many rejections you get, it takes only one positive response when it is the right person! Even though we lived only two streets apart from each other, we probably would never have met if it weren’t for Great Expectations!
